Standard Inclinometer Casing

Standard Inclinometer Casing is specially designed for inclinometer test systems and is typically installed in boreholes. However, its versatility renders it suitable for use in landfills, cast to concrete or attached to structures. It is designed to deflect with the ground, materials or structural movement and provide inclination information over a long period of time.

The casing together with inclinometer probe system are ideal for measuring ground movements in projects such as landslides, slope stability, pilings, diaphragm or sheet walls, dams, tunneling, embankments, tank foundation, landfills, bridge piers, abutments etc. The assembly is simple and quick and yet assists in obtaining highly accurate inclinometer data in short and long term monitoring.

This economical inclinometer casing is manufactured from ABS plastic utilizing extrusion technique which ensures consistently precise and smooth keyways formed at 90 degrees to the internal casing surface. The ABS plastic has unique properties which is flexible and maintains its shape over a wide range of temperature and will not be affected by long term contact with soils, ground water or grouts.

The casing is assembled using couplings, rivets, sealing mastic, sealing tape which will ensure strong joints. Also telescopic sections are provided for accommodating high settlement or heave.
